She was married to Joseph WILSON.⁽⁶⁵⁶⁹⁾ Raymond identifies this information coming from Mrs. Grizzelle's
notes. However, he weighs more heavily the information regarding
Mary's marriage to Horace Loomis Holcomb, coming from "THE HOLCOMBS:
Nation builders" by Mrs. Lewin McPherson as more reliable.

Yet, another Mary Bowlby married a Horace Holcomb before she married a
Dr. Cowen. This Mary Bowlby lived in the same time frame, yet her
parents were Samuel Bowlby Jr., and his cousin, Abigail Bowlby.

Brief research on the Internet has turned up a Horace Loomis Holcomb,
but doesn't offer any additional clarification regarding Mary's
parentage. I leave this to research another day, or hope a descendant
researcher might provide clarification.
