He was married to Elizabeth BUTLER. ⁽⁸³²⁵⁾ Elizabeth BUTLER ^{(5)(6) (7)(8)} was born in 1863. ⁽⁸³²⁶⁾ She died in 1928. ⁽⁸³²⁷⁾ James Edward BOWLBY and Elizabeth BUTLER had the following children:
