My grandfather, Lester Fitch Bowlby, wrote Poetry:

Love's Drawback

I am in love with a trite little trea-sure,
Pure as the pearl and more dear,
I vis-ited her times beyond mea-sure
But this sound would soon get to my ear.

"Twas the rat-chet o'er the spring of the kold clock,
Her dad-dy used to wind it at eleven,
And while he wound the clock her mothe-er used to rock
It pulled me from my dream of Heav-en,
I don't think he was an-xious for a son
Though he'd beam upon me kind-ly as he'd say
My boy I need re-pose, most every0body does
Let's call this the end of a per-fect day.
