Riddle was a lawyer and despite an unfortunate episode at the time of
his death was ever held to be a most neighborly and honest man. His
vindication however came too late to do him good."

He was married to Jane Ruth TUTHILL. ^(12534) Earl Dudley RIDDLE and Jane Ruth TUTHILL had the following children:

+5416 i. Harry Earl RIDDLE^{(12535) (5)(6) (7)(8)} was born on 21 Mar 1894.^(12536) He died on 19 May 1962 in Bloomington, Illinois. ^(12537) He graduated from the School of Law at Illinois Wesleyan University in
1915. He was 2nd Lieutenant, instructor, and flight commander in the
U.S. Air Force during WWI. In 1933, he became associated with the
Peoples Bank of Bloomington and eventually served as its eighth
president from 1959 until his death in 1962.
