He was married to Mary Elizabeth HARRIS in 1843.⁽⁴²⁵⁶⁾ In 1851, they moved to a farm near the fairgrounds in Wayne County,
Michigan. Eventually they settled in Middlesex County, Canada West. Mary Elizabeth HARRIS^{(5) (6)(7) (8)} was born in 1821. ⁽⁴²⁵⁷⁾ She died in 1913.⁽⁴²⁵⁸⁾ George DODGE and Mary Elizabeth HARRIS had the following children:
