237. George BOWLBY ^{(3)(816) (6)(7) (8)} was born about 1778 in New Jersey. ⁽¹⁵⁴⁰⁾ He died on 29 Jan 1862. ⁽¹⁵⁴¹⁾ He was buried in Bigler Cemetery, Oakland County, Michigan. ⁽¹⁵⁴²⁾ He was also known as "Gage". ⁽¹⁵⁴³⁾

He was married to Anna CRISMAN in 1807.⁽¹⁵⁴⁴⁾ "The family left New Jersey for New York after the birth of the youngest child in 1827. Warren County land deeds indicate they disposed of considerable land in Knowlton Township, Warren County, in the spring of 1828. They probably traveled with the family of George's brother, Samuel, in 1828. George first settled in Stueben County, New Yrok, then later moved to Cayugo County. In the fall of 1827, the family moved to Orion Township, Oakland County, Michigan, where George engaged in farming until his death. Anna CRISMAN ⁽³⁾ was born about 1792 in New Jersey. ⁽¹⁵⁴⁵⁾ She died on 13 Mar 1856.⁽¹⁵⁴⁶⁾ She was also known as "Christman, Christman or Cressman". ⁽¹⁵⁴⁷⁾ George BOWLBY and Anna CRISMAN had the following children:
