(3645) Abner was given his name for Abner Parke who married his aunt, Lydia Bowlby. Abner P. Bowlby was the fourth surviving child named in the plea for partition of his father's land filed 3 Jan 1848. Abner "Bolba" -- the same misspelling was used for all the family -- was a 25 year old blacksmith from New Jersey living with the Alexander family in Richland Township, Rush County, Indiana during the 1850 census. A letter from Joseph Bonnell to Dennis Bowlby in 1890 states that Abner was then living at Litchfield, Montgomery County, Illinois.

He was married to Sarah MONTGOMERY.(3646) Abner Parke BOWLBY and Sarah MONTGOMERY had the following children:
