Carl Cochran

48 years old, died at his home in Annandale Sunday afternoon, Sept.
24, 1939, from a heart condition. He was a contracting carpenter. Mr.
Cochran is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Cochran; his mother, Mrs.
Emma Bowlby Cochran; and a sister, Mrs. Frank Pittenger. of
Pattenburg.

Son the the late John Cochran, he was born in the vicinity of
Annandale and spent his entire life there. He was a member of the
Knights of the Golden Eagle and Patriotic Order S. of A. Lodges of
Annandale, and of the I.O.O.F of Lebanon. Long and active volunteer
member of Annandale Hose company No. 1., Mr. Cochran was formerly
Annandale Fire Chief and had also served as president of the company.
He was a member of the Annandale Reformed Chruch and was several years
a deacon in its consistory, also serving for several years as clerk of
the church governing body.

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday)afternoon at 2 o'clock
from Annandale Reformed Chruch. Burial will be in Phillipsburg,
