Wagner. His birth record identifies his parents as Jacob M. & Effie
Bolbsby. His place of birth is listed as Timberswamp Area in the
Warren Co., NJ 1851 Birth Records, Vol. AJ Page 93. He died on 2 Jun 1914 in Hoboken, NJ.⁽⁷³⁶⁷⁾

He was married to Della NIXON on 8 Nov 1868 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.⁽⁷³⁶⁸⁾ Descendant researcher Bill Mullowney writes:

"William L. Bowlby ... married Della Nixon and they had 10 children, 9
of which died as children or adolescents. Only my grandmother, Bessie
Mae reached adulthood. She had two daughters, my mother, Virginia and
Loretta. Can you imagine losing 9 children. I have only been able to
track down 5 of William and Della's children but I'm still trying."

Bill also writes:

I ... include information sent to me by my cousin, Barbara Willoughby,
whose mother Loretta was my mother's sister. With Barbara's
information I believe we have all the descendants of Jacob and Effie's
youngest son, William L. Bowlby. Della NIXON⁽⁸¹⁶⁾⁽⁶⁾ ⁽⁷⁾⁽⁸⁾ was born on 22 Nov 1849 in New Jersey.⁽⁷³⁶⁹⁾ She died on 20 Mar 1917 in Jersey City, New Jersey.⁽⁷³⁷⁰⁾ William L. BOWLBY and Della NIXON had the following children:
