with us the following:

"She (Thelma) was an absolutely wonderful woman. She never married,
but had a lifetime boyfriend. I think once uncle Dick (Amos) died,
she felt it a privilege and not a duty to take care of aunt Ber. Her
boyfriend, Les was in a similar situation. His father died and he,
being the only son, took care of his mother and sister. A very
different life then compared to today."
