He was married to Carrie Lou FAXON. Carrie Lou FAXON⁽⁷⁷³⁹⁾ was born in 1861.⁽⁷⁷⁴⁰⁾ She died in 1930.⁽⁷⁷⁴¹⁾ She was a caughter of William Henry Faxon and Deborah Fulkerson. Elmer A BOWLBY and Carrie Lou FAXON had the following children:

The Ovid, Michigan, post of the American Legion was named the Storrer - Bowlby post in honor of the two Ovid youths to die in World War I.
