611. William Henry Harrison BOWLSBY⁽³⁸¹⁰⁾⁽⁵⁸¹⁾⁽⁵⁸²⁾⁽⁷⁾⁽⁸⁾ was born on 18 Mar 1815 in Hamilton County, Ohio.⁽³⁸¹¹⁾ He died on 15 Jun 1901 in Clarke County, Iowa.⁽³⁸¹²⁾
He died at the home of his son, Addison.
William was a year old when his parents moved to Union County,
Indiana. After serving an apprenticeship as blacksmith, William
followed that trade for the rest of his life: first in Union and
Delaware counties in Indiana, until about 1843, then in Hollensburg,
Darke County, Ohio, until June of 1852 when he traveled by wagon to
Oskaloosa, Iowa. He first purchased 160 acres in Lynn Grove Township,
Jasper County, Iowa. In 1854 he bought 240 acres and two town lots at
Winterset, Madison County, Iowa. In 1866 he moved to Osceola, Clarke
County, Iowa.

He was married to Mary Ann GARRETSON on 5 May 1836 in Windsor, Indiana.⁽³⁸¹³⁾⁽³⁸¹⁴⁾ Mary Ann GARRETSON⁽³⁸¹⁵⁾⁽⁵⁸¹⁾⁽⁵⁸²⁾⁽⁷⁾⁽⁸⁾ was born on 18 Jun 1817 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania.⁽³⁸¹⁶⁾ She died on 31 Aug 1904 in Clarke County, Iowa.⁽³⁸¹⁷⁾ She Resided 11 years in Indiana, 8 years Ohio, 20 months in Oskaloosa, LA, May 1854 Winterset, LA.⁽³⁸¹⁴⁾ Also, Nov. 1866 Osceola, LA
She was the daughter of Benjamin and Hannah (Way) Garretson. William Henry Harrison BOWLSBY and Mary Ann GARRETSON had the following children:
