Obituary
Reuban Edgar Busby, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Busby, departed this life December 26, 1907, aged 15 years 10 months. He leaves to mourn their loss a father and mother, three brothers and two sisters, and a brother preceded him to the spirit world seven years ago. He was born at Gore, February 26, 1891. At the time of his death his home was in Shawnee, but died at his grandfathers home near Wear Webb Summitt, and was buried at Webb's Cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. T.O. Peltsmeyer from Shawnee at Webb's chapel. He worked at the Shawnee brick plant, and he was a good boy to help his parents. When at his last he said to his father I would like to stay with you longer, but the Lord knows best and he was ready to go. He sung before he died the words:
Neither silver nor gold,
I would make sure of heaven,
I would enter the fold,
In the book of they kingdom,
With its pages so fair,
Tell me Jesus my saviour,
Is my name written there.
