Mr Evans Commissioner of Pensions, I take my pen in hand to write you a fue lines to see if I coud find out eney thing about my pension. I made my clame in 1890 But hoke? Smith object to it before he got the witness he wanted, two men from my one cumpany to prove that I was the man. But he did not wate till he got them, you see I was enlised under the name of Theodore S. Dalrymple and after the war, I found out that was the name of my stepfather and my name was Jackson Smith. So I haf went by that name every sence the war. My clame was made Jackson Smith prier Theodor S. Dalrymple. But I sent a witness to *Gorge E Lemon that I was the same man that served in Co H 15 New Jersey Volunteers (his underline) by the name of Theodre S Dalrymple. Now at the, time I made my clame, I was a totold cripple and I haf not ernt 10 dolars sens I made the came (claim) and I think it is perty tuff when I see men get a big pension that never fird a gun and I served allmost three years and get nothing. Wonte you pleas look it up and give me a pension as well as the rest of them. Gorge E lemon has my clame. Pleas ansure this letter in sum way.
