re:Estate of Elizabeth Barker
Know All Men, by these presents, that We Samuel Haulton of Mansfield in the
County of Nottingham cordwainer, John Haulton of Southwell Nottingham
Glazier, John Haulton (of 'town'& Job???) and Thomas Frost of Mansfield
Weaver (signatory ie firmiter in Latin ) do stand and are firmly bounden
and obliged unto the John Neale of xxx?? Manor of Mansfeild Doctor of
Laws,Commissary of the Exchequer Court of the most Reverend Father in God
Robert by Divine Providence,Lord Archbishop of York Primate of England and
Metropolitan lawfully constituted in the Sum of forty Pounds of good
and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to the said Commissary or his
true and lawful Attorney,Executors, Administrators or Assigns to that which
payment well and truly to be made.We bind us and each of us jointly and
severally,for and in the whole,our and each of our heirs, Executors and
Administrators and every of them firmly by these presents,Sealed with our
seals.Dated the twenty fourth day of the month of January in the year of our
Lord one thousand six hundred and ninety nine.
The condition of this Obligation is such, that if the above bound Samuel Haulton administrator of all and singular goods,chattels and Credits of Elizabeth Barker late of Mansfield aforesaid widow (late Aunt of him the said Samuel ) do make or ratify
to be made a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the goods, chattels
and credits of the said Deceased which have or shall come to the hands or
possession or knowledge of him the said Samuel Haulton or into the hands or
possession of any other person or persons for him the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited to the registry of the said court of Mansfeild at or before the expiration of six months next ensuing and the same goods,chattells and credits of the said deceased at the time of her death which at any time after shall come to the hands or possession of the said Samuel Haulton or shall come to the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him doe well and truly administer according to the Law and further do make or cause to be made a true and just account of his said administration at or before the expiration of thirteen months next ensuing and all the rest the said goods and chattells and credits which shall be found remaining upon the said administrators account the same being first examined and allowed of the Law and allowed by the steward of the said Court for the time being shall deliver and pay unto such person or persons respectively as the said Steward by his decree or sentance poursuivant to the true intent or meanings of an Act of Parliament in that behalf shall made Limit and appoint And if it shall hereafter appear any last will and testament was made by the said deceased and the executor or Executors therein named to exhibit the same in to the said court making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly if the above bound Samuel Haulton be thereunto required do render on and deliver the said letters of Administration (approbation of such testament first had and made into the said court) then this obligation to be void and of non effect or else to remain in full force and virtue.
