572. William BOWLBY ⁽³⁶⁵⁴⁾⁽³⁶⁵⁵⁾⁽⁷⁾⁽⁸⁾ was born on 3 Oct 1829 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.⁽³⁶⁵⁶⁾ He died on 5 Jul 1896 in Tipton County, Indiana.⁽³⁶⁵⁷⁾ He was buried in Sharpsville Cemetery, Tipton County, Indiana.⁽³⁶⁵⁸⁾

In the plea for partition of his father's land in 1848, he was named
as a defendant, the 6th surviving child and a minor; he was 17 when
his father died.

Shortly after the death of William's mother in 1852, he moved his
family to Tipton County, Indiana and settled on 200 acres of farm land
in Liberty Township to which he later added acreage in Wild Cat
Township.

In 1854 he was elected as Clerk in Liberty Township and served three
terms. He was an elder and superintendent of the Presbyterian Church
Sunday School for many years.

He was married to Rebecca Jane LINDSAY on 3 Sep 1851 in Decatur County, Indiana.⁽³⁶⁵⁹⁾ Rebecca Jane LINDSAY⁽³⁾⁽³⁶⁶⁰⁾⁽⁶⁾⁽³⁶⁶¹⁾⁽³⁶⁵⁵⁾⁽⁷⁾⁽⁸⁾ was born on 17 May 1830 in Decatur County, Indiana. She died on 3 Mar 1863 in Tipton County, Indiana. William BOWLBY and Rebecca Jane LINDSAY had the following children:

He was married to Phoebe SIPPY on 4 May 1865 in Tipton County, Indiana.⁽³⁶⁶⁴⁾ Phoebe SIPPY⁽³⁾⁽³⁶⁶⁰⁾⁽⁶⁾⁽³⁶⁶¹⁾⁽³⁶⁵⁵⁾⁽⁷⁾⁽⁸⁾ was born on 4 Apr 1829 in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. She died on 26 May 1907 in Tipton County, Indiana.⁽³⁶⁶⁵⁾ William BOWLBY and Phoebe SIPPY had the following children:
