ELEVENTH GENERATION

1878. George Herbert BOWLBY ^{(5)(6) (7)(8)} was born on 16 Jul 1865 in Kitchener, Ontario. ⁽⁸⁶²⁷⁾ He died on 12 Nov 1916.⁽⁸⁶²⁸⁾ He fell from a cliff at Seaford, England. He was educated. ⁽⁸⁶²⁹⁾ After preliminary education and a year at St. Jerome's College, George
studied medicine at Trinity Medical College, Toronto, then took post
graduate work in England where he became licentiate of the Royal
College of Physicians and Member of the Royal College of Surgeons.
Returning to Canada he was in partnership with his father for several
years then returned to Bienna and elsewhere for further study. In
1906 he resumed his practice and for several years identified himself
with the county cavalry regiment known as Grey's horse of which he was
medical officer with the rank of captain. After war broke out, he
left Canada in July of 1915, and was attached to the military
hospital, Shorncliffe, England, later at Bath, and finally at Seaford.
