225. Thomas BOWLBY⁽³⁾⁽⁵⁾ ⁽⁶⁾⁽⁷⁾⁽⁸⁾ was born on 5 Mar 1775 in Sussex County, New Jersey.⁽¹⁴⁵⁴⁾ He died on 5 Nov 1853.⁽¹⁴⁵⁵⁾ His unmarked grave is believed to be in Oake Grove Cemetery, McLean
County, Illinois, in a lot belonging to his grandson, Thomas B.
Riddle. Raymond Edwin Bowlby obtained much information about Thomas'
and his descendants from an unpublished manuscript, "Outline of the
Bowlby Family," compiled by Eva Crumbaugh Grizzelle, Le Roy, Illinois,
assisted by William A. Reeves, Clinton, New Jersey, dated 15 March,
1936.

He was married to Hornbaker.⁽¹⁴⁵⁶⁾ Thomas BOWLBY and Hornbaker had the following children:

He was married to Sarah MARSHALL on 17 Mar 1803 in Sussex County, New Jersey.⁽¹⁴⁵⁷⁾⁽¹⁴⁵⁸⁾⁽¹⁴⁵⁹⁾⁽¹⁴⁶⁰⁾ In Howard Case's "Sussex County New Jersey Marriages" an un-proofread transcription of the civil marriage record books on file in Newton:

But, from the Trenton Federalist Vol. V # 217 date of 4-25- 1803 p. 3,

Thomas Bowlby of Mansfield , N.J. m. Sally Marshall of Mansfield, N.J. on April 6, 1803 Sarah MARSHALL⁽³⁾⁽⁵⁾⁽⁶⁾⁽⁷⁾⁽⁸⁾ died on 4 Jul 1858 in McLean County, Illinois.⁽¹⁴⁶¹⁾ She was also known as "Sally".⁽⁵²⁹⁾⁽¹⁴⁶²⁾ Thomas BOWLBY and Sarah MARSHALL had the following children:
