Falconer was born in Bloomington and helped in the family's many business ventures. Particularly a hardware store. After his grandpa John and grandma Ann died, he took his elderly parents to Maxwell, IA.. and owned and operated a hardware store in Eldon. His father, Samuel apparently helped him with that business as long as he was able. After his parents died, Falconer won 100 acres in the Oklahoma land lottery and moved to Oklahoma about 1901 or 1902. Falconer's nickname was "Barney" He was a very tall slender man.

He was married to Ellen Florence NYE on 24 Nov 1887 in Grant Co., WI. ⁽⁹⁹⁹⁵⁾ Ellen Florence NYE ^(9996)(760) died on 31 Dec 1934 in Lawton, Comanche Co., OK.⁽⁹⁹⁹⁷⁾ She was buried in Highland Cem., Lawton, Comanche Co., OK. ⁽⁹⁹⁹⁸⁾ She was also known as Ma House.
