449. John BRIGGS (2586) (773)(774) (775) was born between 1801 and 1810. (2587) James Briggs gave to his son, John Briggs ..."out of love 100 acres on Second Creek next the old tract...Skiles and Joseph E. Dobbins." The 100 acres came from two tracts: one tract granted to Edmund Palmer 20 March 1787 by Francis Locke; and another granted to James Briggs 6 December 1819 by Jacob Skiles. He died in 1838.(2588) The following five marriages are believed to be children of either John or his brother Edmond Briggs:
