236. Samuel BOWLBY ⁽¹⁵²⁴⁾⁽⁷⁾⁽⁸⁾ was born on 20 Sep 1777 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.⁽¹⁵²⁵⁾ He died on 10 Sep 1850 in Huron County, Ohio.⁽¹⁵²⁶⁾ ⁽¹⁵²⁷⁾ He was buried in Delphi Cemetery, Huron County, Ohio.⁽¹⁵²⁸⁾ Samuel received his commission as ensign in the New Jersey Militia 9
Sept 1797, was promoted to captain 5 Sept 1804, and was afterward
called "Captain Sam." On 24 Jan 1828, he became co-executor of his
father's will, and inherited a seventh part of his father's estate.
In September of 1830, he purchased a farm in Ulysses Township,
Tompkins County, in the Finger Lakes region of central New York. In
November of 1845, he sold his farm there and moved to Ripley Township,
Huron County, Ohio.

He was married to Ann HENDRICKSON in 1803.⁽¹⁵²⁹⁾⁽¹⁵³⁰⁾ Ann HENDRICKSON⁽³⁾⁽⁸¹⁶⁾⁽⁶⁾⁽⁷⁾⁽⁸⁾ was born in 1782.⁽¹⁵³¹⁾ She died in 1816 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.⁽¹⁵³²⁾ Samuel BOWLBY and Ann HENDRICKSON had the following children:
