3024. Roswell Sampson BOWLBY ^{(3) (12219)(805) (6)(7) (8)} was born on 29 Jul 1881 in Dover, New Jersey. ^{(12220)(12221)} He died on 17 Oct 1957.^{(12222) (12223)} Roswell graduated from Dover High School in 1897, and entered New York
University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in
1901. His teaching career began in Lyonsville, New Jersey where he
taught for two semesters, then at Union Hill, Morris County. He was
principal at Long Valley then spent two years in the science
department of Clifton High School. In 1920, he was appointed
superintendent of Dover schools and served until retirement in 1944.
He was active in the community as a Republican and member of Kiwanis
Club, Council of Education, Delta Upsilon Fraternity, and Free and
Accepted Masons. His obiturary appeared in the New York Times, 18
Oct, 1957

He was married to Carrie SKINNER in Mar 1903. ^{(12224)(12225)} Carrie SKINNER^{(3) (805)(6) (7)(8)} died after 1957. ^(12226) Roswell Sampson BOWLBY and Carrie SKINNER had the following children:
