Mary Etta and probably L.B. were associated with the International Bible Students Association, now known as Jehovah's Whitnesses. Many of their descendants are Jehovah's Witnesses. Benjamin Leslie ATKINS (12291)(805) (6)(7) (8) was born on 17 Mar 1866 in Campbell County.(12292) He died 22/23 March 1937.(12293) He was buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Milford, Ohio.(12294) He was also known as "L.B".(12295) He was known to all as "L.B." because he switch his name around to Leslie Ben. L.B. moved with his parents from Kentucky to a farm east of Milford and north of Perintown, Ohio, in 1878. He returned to the Bellevue area of northern Kentucky about 1890. He was musically inclined like his father, and worked as a piano tuner, even building pianos for Baldwin Piano Company. Mary Etta SHAFER and Benjamin Leslie ATKINS had the following children:
