3108. Mary Elizabeth Louise BOWLBY^{(805) (12474)(12475) (6)(7) (8)} was born on 28 May 1880 in Olney, Richland County, Illinois. ^(12476) She died on 3 Feb 1908 in Olney, Richland County, Illinois.^(12477) According to an article in the Olney Times dated 8 Feb 1899, she
committed suicide by shooting herself through the left breast with a
.38 caliber revolver. The article, suicide letters (several, published
in the paper), and the verdict of the jury suggest that her suicide
resulted from "meloncholy condition of mind" that may have caused by
her being sick so much of the time." At least one family member
recalled that older family members claimed she was murdered by her
father-in-law.

She was married to William WINTERS on 11 Jan 1899 in Richland County, Illinois.^(12478) This union produced no issue. William WINTERS ^{(3343)(805) (6)(7) (8)} was born in 1876.^(12479)
