She was married to Thomas SHIELDS Sr..⁽¹⁴⁸¹⁾ ⁽¹⁴⁸²⁾ Thomas SHIELDS Sr.⁽³⁾⁽⁸⁰⁷⁾⁽⁸⁰⁸⁾⁽⁷⁾⁽⁸⁾ was born about 1775 in Hackettstown, New Jersey.⁽¹⁴⁸³⁾ He died on 28 Aug 1827 in Hackettstown, New Jersey.⁽¹⁴⁸⁴⁾⁽¹⁴⁸⁵⁾ He was a joiner, farmer, drover, and distiller.⁽¹⁴⁸⁶⁾
According to his son's biography, Thomas spent most of his life at
Hackettstown and was an active, enterprizing man, and became the
possessor of a fine property by his judicious management. He signed a will.⁽¹⁴⁸⁷⁾
His will was probated 5 Sept 1827. Sarah COLEMAN and Thomas SHIELDS Sr. had the following children:
